A number of areas in South Kuta are experiencing problems with their clean water supply. Water has been cut in the Hotel Mulia, Hilton Hotel, and Sawangan areas of Nusa Dua and as far as Kori Nuansa and the Taman Griya neighborhoods.
According to Tirta Mangutama Regional Water Company (PDAM) Director, Ketut Golak, on Thursday evening, the issue was caused by a leak in a 400 mm pipe near Hotel Mulia, Sawangan, Nusa Dua.
Some time ago there was also a leaking pipe due to excavation of cables in the Kelan area, but for the present leak, it is claimed only to be organic damage to the pipe, not because of any excavation.
“This is only a leak, not because of an excavation project,” he told Bali Post.
PDAM has appealed to residents to use what water they have efficiently.
“The pipe is being repaired and we estimate that the water will be back on tomorrow, Saturday 26 May 2018,” he said.
