The World Surf League (WSL) and Corona announced today that the beer brand born at the ‘Mexican’ beach will be the title partner for its second WSL event in 2018. The Corona Bali Pro in Keramas, Bali, May 27 – June 9, 2018.

“There is incredible synergy between WSL and Corona on many levels,” said Sophie Goldschmidt, chief executive officer of the WSL. “Our partnership continues to grow as we share like-minded goals toward providing surf fans with great experiences to enjoy amazing surfing in beautiful destinations.”

Corona’s partnership with the WSL began in 2015, when the brand became the Official Beer of the World Surf League globally (excluding North America), and subsequently deepened its commitment through a title sponsorship of the Corona Open J-Bay in Jeffreys Bay, South Africa.

“Corona is looking forward to partnering with WSL at a new beautiful paradise destination and engaging with more surf fans on the WSL Championship Tour,” said Thiago Zanettini, global vice president, Corona at Anheuser-Busch InBev. “Stay tuned in the coming weeks to learn more about how we plan to work together through Corona’s commitment to protect paradise and WSL’s PURE environmental initiative to leave a lasting legacy in the Bali region.”

The whole sea is full of shit. Sometimes it’s shit you see. Sometimes it’s shit dissolved in the sea-not visible to the naked eye, but there. Sometimes it’s shit you don’t see-like sewerage leeching into the ground water that eventually becomes the waterways that eventually flow into the sea. But I am absolutely sure that it’s toxic, especially around Bali.
