The number of tourists who visited Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan from Sanur has increased greatly in the last few days. Agus, an employee of D’Camel Fast Boat, confirmed the increasing number of visitors on Tuesday, saying that their two fast boats to the islands are both running full every time.

“We transported 200 passengers on each trip this morning. We would only take 90 passengers during low season. The tourists came from various countries, but mostly they were Chinese and Japanese tourists,” he said to baliexpress.com.

He also said that there wasn’t any problem with the current weather, with the crossings. “Big waves and swell don’t significantly decrease the enthusiasm to go across. The visits have decreased recently because of the eruptions, earthquakes and the Jakarta riots just a few weeks ago,” he added.

He explained that the fast boats all cooperated with Transportation Board, Harbour master, and Water Police to monitor the weather. “If they forbid us to cross, we will follow their instruction. Fortunately there is no warning yet this week,” he concluded.
