Denpasar’s weather bureau (BMKG) released a warning today that—based on their weather analysis—heavy rain will be pouring down in several areas of Bali.

“Beware of torrential rain in Buleleng, Tabanan, Gianyar, Karangasem, and Badung during the day and night,” Nyoman Gede Wiryajaya told reporters this morning. He added that in general Bali will experience heavy rain until February 13.

He further explained that the intensity of the wind will still be similar to the past few days, with the wind blowing from the southwest to the west with an estimated speed of 8 – 38km/hour.

Meanwhile, the tides and surf are on the rise too, with 1.5 to 2.5 metre waves expected around the coast.

“So please be careful as ocean conditions are not ideal with potential of large waves and high tides in the north and south of Bali,” Wiryajaya says.
