Ngurah Rai Airport’s Immigration Office has rejected the arrival of two Australians due to their involvement in pedophilia cases.

The first was identified with the initials MNM who arrived last Friday (17/03) at 9.30pm with flight JQ57 from Brisbane, Australia. He was immediately sent back with the JQ38 flight to Sydney on Saturday.

The second suspect, RJP landed on Tuesday (21/03) at 10.30pm, but after being notified by the Australian Federal Police (AFP) that he was an alleged pedophile, the man was instantly directed to the return flight JQ38 to Sydney on the same day.

Immigration officers are on the lookout for a number of typical profiles in the airport.

“For us here at Ngurah Rai Airport we’re always alert for asylum-seekers going to Australia from places like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan,” said Maryoto Sumadi, Director of the Immigration Office. “The others are convicted pedophiles. Collaboration between countries is very helpful.”
