Denpasar police have arrested an alleged cocaine dealer, property agent R.M. (49), at Jalan Tirta Ening, Sanur, last Tuesday (20/06). As of today, the police are still in pursuit of his alleged supplier, a foreign national with the initials M.D.

“Their area of distribution is Sanur and Kuta, and the suspect specifically targets foreign citizens as customers “said Wayan Arta Ariawan, head of the Drug Enforcement Division.

As reported by Balipost, the suspect confessed to dealing cocaine. The investigation will be focusing on finding the source of the drugs, as well as looking deeper into the suspect’s profession which is thought to have exposed him to many foreign tourists. Moreover, Marcio was once married to a German woman. Ariawan noted that his wife had recently passed away “and since then he has been dealing cocaine. This is our first cocaine bust for the past couple of years.” Ariawan added.

R.M. also admitted to having regular meetings with M.D. in the Kuta area and revealed that one package of cocaine can cost up to IDR1.5 million. “So far the suspect refuses to divulge M.D.’s address,” said Ariawan.

The suspect also said the main reason he started drug dealing was that he’s knee-deep in debt. “I have a 30 million debt,” R.M. stated.
