PT Jasamarga Bali Tol (JBT) has decided not to charge the cost of card production to consumers.

The goal is to make it easier for all people to use the toll road. The free cards will be available temporarily from 16 October to 31 October, as reported by Nusa Bali.

However, only 8000 cards will be available without the charge. Overall, as many as 1.5 million free cards will be offered throughout Indonesia.

President Director of PT Jasamarga Bali Tol (JBT) Akhmad Tito Karim believes the 8,000 free cards will be gone in a very short time. He said in the last few days, sales on the Bali Mandara Toll Road were on average 2,000 pieces per day. “The 8,000 pieces may not last a week and we invite the users of the Bali Mandara Toll Road to take advantage of this program quickly,” he continued.

The cards can be obtained by users of the Bali Mandara Toll Road at every toll booth.

From data obtained from PT Jasamarga Bali Tol, the number of vehicles using the toll road each day is reaching around 50,000.

Until now, the Unik card was sold for Rp 50k which contained a balance of Rp 30k and included a cost of Rp 20k for the card production. The new price is Rp 50k and 40k until the end of October, which contains 100% toll fee balance and no card cost. After the end of the month there will be a card production charge again, but officials who were asked didn’t know how much that will be. And since there are only 8000 free cards being offered we recommend you move fast to acquire one.
